REPORT

The goal of this report is to describe and evaluate my six weeks’ experience at the Palace of Moneda and to make some recommendations for the future.

The palace of Moneda is the headquarters of the Chilean President. Dating back to 1805. In this place we can find themselves the General Secretary’ of presidency and the General Secretary’ of government. It employs around 400 employees, but this number can change for the different activities it make in this place like visit of ambassadors or Presidents about some country, or the visit of prominent persons as athletic, sing, poet, actress, etc. And about the number before indicated, we must considered every turn of palace’ police is formed for around 200 persons.

During my six weeks with the Palace of Moneda I can work in the General Secretary’ of government, but I make different activities and this include work with persons of others department.

The first I say about this is the dress code, this is very formal, in the case of women, the ideal go is dress or skirts and try to wear the more meticulous, because in any moment I can talk with some authority, inclusive the President.

Also, I must say in this job I can go a much work meeting and this sometimes can during more of 8 hours. Other point very important is I must study very much different topic in short time like names of authority or situation of different countries in the world.

And is important can have a good shoes for the work because this Palace of Moneda have more 40 room and in each room make different activities.

In general is a great work is very entertaining, because I can learn much information about different topics and the more important I can work in a historical place with the maximums authorities about country.

In conclusion, is a great work for a social worker because I can look as work the maximums authorities  of the country and I can understand some decisions and the process for this. As well as the importance of this place for the history.
